2013 Summer Camp Registration is Open!

The Woolwich Hockey Academy summer camps were a great success last year, and we will continue to build on our success again this year. We are very excited to announce a new hockey/golf camp for the Bantam/Midget age group and a camp designed just for Bantam/Midget Girls! See below for full details!


Bantam/Midget Golf/Hockey Camp

New this year for the Bantam/Midget age group, we are offering a one week camp (August 19-23) for players to improve their golf and hockey skills! Players will golf during the morning and skate in the afternoon. Certified PGA staff at the Elmira golf course will provide golf instruction each morning, and players will return to the WMC to receive hockey instruction each afternoon.

We are also offering a try-out ready camp for this age group during the evenings of August 26-30.

Calling all Bantam and Midget girls! We are offering a girls-only evening program during the week of August 19-23rd.

PeeWee: 11-12 year olds

The Woolwich Hockey Academy takes great pride in challenging the players accordingly to their age level and ability. The PeeWee age group will be given two 80 minute on-ice sessions to focus on the fundamentals of building a powerful and proficient skating stride, as well as learning overall hockey skills.

Please note: Week 2 (August 26-30) for this age group is now FULL.

Atom: 9-10 year olds

The Atom age group will participate in both on-ice and off-ice activities that will keep them busy. Drills will be accomplished through work stations to allow the players to get the most time playing and spend less time standing in line – high repetitions achieve greater results. Two 80 minute on-ice sessions will help the players develop skating and hockey skills, while off-ice fundamentals will work on conditioning and fitness.

Tyke/Novice: 6, 7, and 8 year olds

Last year was our first time offering this program to the Tyke/Novice age group, and it was a great success! The kids had a blast while participating in both on-ice and off-ice activities. Again this year, each day will offer two 80 minute on-ice sessions. The first session will focus on Power Skating. Working on the fundamentals of building a powerful and proficient skating stride.
